COQUELICOT

Coquelicot was originally the second of two stone built farmhouses on the site, and has been converted into a roomy holiday residence, providing up to date facilities in a traditional setting.

The property is entered across a private, sheltered terrace, flanked by its own veranda. The terrace is equipped with a table and seating for 6 and has its own barbecue. A large parasol provides welcome shade from the sun and outdoor lighting provides the ideal ambiance for al-fresco dining in the evening.

Through the front door you find yourself in the heart of the property - the spacious kitchen/diner. The kitchen (5.3m x 3.8m) is fitted and fully equipped to make self-catering as easy as possible. There is plenty of storage space, a large electric oven with gas hob and extractor fan. There is also a microwave oven, fridge/freezer and the essential dishwasher! The kitchen is supplied with all the necessary implements to allow you to cook properly, with ample tableware and cutlery including plasticware for children and for picnic use. The large dining table seats 6 easily with room for a high chair, available on request. We also supply basic materials such as cling film, aluminium foil, herbs and spices.

Passing through the kitchen you come to the downstairs shower room (2.2m x 1.5m), fully tiled and complete with WC. Moving further in to the property there is a ground floor bedroom (4m x 2.8m). This is ideal if you have elderly members of your party who may prefer not to navigate the staircases more often than necessary. The room also happens to be the coolest room on site - a comfort during those hot summer nights. This room is usually fitted out as a twin room.

The first floor can be reached either internally from the kitchen/diner, or externally via the veranda. The lounge (5.5m x 4m) is situated here and offers a cool and calm retreat with seating for 6. There is also a log burner to keep you cozy and warm in the cooler months of the year. Entertainment is provided by satellite television, currently offering UK free-to-air channels, as well as DVD/CD and VHS players.

Bedroom 2 (4m x 4m), steeped in character with wooden floors and ceiling beams, is conveniently situated just off the lounge and offers a place to retreat. The room also benefits from its double aspect and has plenty of natural light. There is space to put a cot in this room, which is available on request if necessary.

Between the lounge and bedroom 2, there is another staircase leading to the attic space where you will find the master bedroom (5.5m x 4m) and a wonderful bathroom. Both rooms have been designed with decadence in mind. The bedroom offers the largest personal space in the gite, and also happens to be very romantic! There is also more than enough space to place a cot in the room, available on request.

The main bathroom (4m x 3m) is fitted to a high specification, with a large freestanding bath, WC and wash basin - you will want to spend hours soaking in this tub, reading a good book or listening to music.

Bathing and pool towels are provided free of charge. Fresh bed linen is offered weekly for those parties staying long than one week. Laundry facilities are provided in a separate building and shared between the 3 properties. There is plenty of line space for drying towels and clothes.

There is a communal games store on site that is available to all guests. You can currently enjoy a few games of table tennis or table football to pass the time.

Wireless internet is also offered free of charge on site, although this is rural France so connection speeds leave a little to be desired! Should be more than adequate for checking your email and browsing web sites.

In order to capture as much of each room as possible in a photograph it is necessary to use a wide-angle lens and rooms may sometimes appear larger than they are. Please refer to measurements for clarity. If you have any questions about Coquelicot, please don't hesitate to contact us and we will be glad to help.
